The problem with, (process of) communication presents itself all too clearly within our day to day lives. Communication (conscious) not only affords humans great luxury in serving as a social tool, but conversely, can act as a physical and intellectual partition between disparate parties / concepts / ideologies.
This linguistic gap or lapse can be analyzed along varying trajectories, interpersonal relationships, the relationship between the observer and the observed, between intention and effect, between craftsman and craft etc. Understanding the fundamental structure of these relationships is intriguing to me. I feel that at the essence of these concepts language begins to breakdown.
However, perhaps space does not. Maybe these are questions that are essentially spatial in nature.
Could design begin to answer some of these questions? Is there space for architecture within this discussion? Could space fill in the gaps?
